@AimanRohisham Less time spent trying to figure out something on your own means more time to start actually using that something and being creative with it. Don't give someone a "thumbs-down" for requesting help with something, not cool.

@rethinkyoyo actually, it's opposite. large catch zone yoyo is called low-walled (Pro, Dietz, MVP,...)

Wow...nice...Spencer has been talking about this style of play for a while, but this is one of the first well-explained Horizontal style tricks I have seen! Nice man!

does it have to be responsive?
nickizbeast1 4 months ago
@nickizbeast1 Nope, in fact, I used an unresponsive yoyo in this tutorial. That's why there is a bind at the end of the move.

Does the yoyo require a good rim-weight in order to keep the yoyo spinning while horizontal?

@4dv4rch3r Pretty much all modern yoyos have good enough rim weight for horizontal play. What I find to be really useful when learning to play horizontally, though, is a yoyo with a very large catch zone (also known as high-walled), like the SPYY Pro. That gives you a ton of room to be sloppy, which you definitely will be while learning.

It also helps to do it with a responsive yo-yo first to get the motion down so you don't have to worry about binding.

@TheRealExAzrael Yeah you could totally do that if you find it to help... I did try learning horizontal stuff with a responsive yoyo to begin with, and I actually found it more difficult, for whatever reason.
