@rappy90 it depends when you're transferring your beer. If you're using a carboy for your primary the funnel would be the wiser option, as the beer splashing into the carboy will help aerate the wort, and produce a healthier environment for the yeast. However if you are transferring your beer into a keg or another carboy it's really a better idea to use a siphon rather than pour the beer. You want to limit the exposure to oxygen.
Do you siphon the beer into those carboys from the pale with the line? Or do you use a big funnel? So far I've never did a primary fermentation in a carboy
