  • @rappy90 it depends when you're transferring your beer. If you're using a carboy for your primary the funnel would be the wiser option, as the beer splashing into the carboy will help aerate the wort, and produce a healthier environment for the yeast. However if you are transferring your beer into a keg or another carboy it's really a better idea to use a siphon rather than pour the beer. You want to limit the exposure to oxygen.

  • Do you siphon the beer into those carboys from the pale with the line? Or do you use a big funnel? So far I've never did a primary fermentation in a carboy
