In this great clip, John tries to explain to Sean about how birthdays work and later explains the Sun. This was recorded in 1979 at The Dakota.

  • I wonder if Max has heard this.

  • @TheIntruders

Max doesn't hear much of anything these days. He's dead. But I am sure that he heard it before he died.

  • They're listening to "Within You Without You" from Sgt Pepper... How cool!

You just have to listen reeaaallly closely lol

  • @promisedland89

John and Sean were not actually listening to that song at the time this was recorded. This was a radio technique used on the Lost Lennon Tapes series as an attempt to cover up tape noise and stuff like that. Check out my video about Sean on his relationship with Julian. Real Love (the demo) is playing in the background. They call it a musical bed. Still, good ear!

  • there is a lot of people commenting that john was a better dad to sean......but remember he was a lot older when sean was born. he was in his mid-thirties. when juilan was born he was only 21 or 22. now we all know we make better parents as we get older than we do in our early twenties. so give him a break. at least he married cynthia. he didnt abandon her.

  • This is truly a powerful and humble thing to listen to....and then that announcer comes in and puts a cheap price on the whole thing.

Are you sure he died? I went onto Sean's twitter once, and he had a comment for a Max.

  • It made me cry when they talked about dying.

  • @LadyScorpio39 I'm not Julian. And what I'm saying is just common sense. For someone who treated his own son like rubbish, he is certainly getting way too much recognition as a man of 'peace' and 'love'. John was a disgusting man.

  • @choobuka

    ok julian! (lol)

  • @LadyScorpio39 Age is just a number, dude. It's still no excuse to ABANDON your own child. Stop making excuses for John, because he certainly didn't deserve them!!

  • Oh my god that is the most adorable thing ever!!!

  • This is so cute love the way john is talking to sean

  • "When people melt. After they melt and the finish. And the melting and.....FINISHED *rapid breathing*"

    "Mmhmm?"

This audio clip is so sweet and cute but that part just made me LAUGH AND LAUGH for about 10 seconds. The way he says....FINISHED.

  • @TheIntruders who's Max

  • So ridiculously sad and a little ironic that they had a conversation about Sean turning five and John turning fourty, and how John said "Don't rush it." That was probably the worst year of age Sean ever experienced and for John as well. So I hope they had a happy full year of being 4/39 together and didn't rush it.
