I think the way he acted seems strange to us, the viewers, because while we know about her mother's problems, Sara never told him the extent of it. Imagine seeing your bride threatening her mother with a huge knife on your wedding day. I think that would throw most people for a loop.

Thanks for the advice, but trust me I have tried to runaway from my family obligations. I have tried to escape my duties to me family. It just doesn't work. I have tried to drown my sorrow with booze and woke up later in puddles of vomit. My biggest regret was I even dropped out of university because of all the stresses in my life including my family. I know I will never achieve what I want to do with my life. I wish I could leave them knowing that they will be well taken care of.

I can totally sympathesize with Sara. I have never been in a serious relationship or do anything I really wanted because I have to take care of my old sick parents and my lazy ass of a brother. Life sucks.

i saw the whole movie and the reason why he was so mad is because her mother was sick and she took care of her in the hospitale but she didn't tell him that fact that she was sick. so she wasn't honest with him at the begining of their relationships. that's why he was so mad. and also i think he realized that this whole wedding was a mistake.
