  • do you need a modem or can you just connect the airport extreme to the wall

  • Because there are only cat5 and usb connections on the airport extreme... yes

  • can you use an airport extreme without any ethernet on the wall, can you just use the ethernet on my mac mini cuz we have wireless internet but my mini is 2005 so it doesnt have a wireless chip

  • It sounds like you are asking if you could use the Airport Extreme as a wireless signal booster. To answer that question, no. Apple has another unit specifically made for that purpose.

  • Hi, Is your external Hard dride formated in which file sysytems??fat32?

  • Hummm, I'm not that advanced... I never changed the format out of the box... if that helps any.
