Being a youth & Board Member of Micronesian Youth Services Network, I found Melvin's poems & mission inspiring. We hosted our 5th annual conference in Saipan, CNMI this year. Melvin & Poetry Slam Champions, Ittai Wong & Alaka'i Kotrys, performed.

I LOVE his poem "Dysfunctional", B. Yung's "Change" and Ittai's "Grandpa & Guava Leaves" & "Pledge of Allegiance".

As Guam sets to represent at this year's BNV, I hope more youth find the courage-- through this and more -- to change society.

I saw this performed live. He's actually an extremely cool guy, and I've been to one of his classes in Guam. He's a really, really good poet.
