Playing around a little bit with my 1950's Goodall push mower. It's powered by a Lauson RSH-775 engine, which was one of the first vertical shaft small gasoline engines made. For only having around 2HP it does a fairly good job in the tall grass. The mower has a 20" cut.

  • Well, it ought to do a good job even with only 2hp; that thing has more torque than most modern mowers.

  • Nice machine! Thanks for posting the video of it.

  • very cool! i picked up a 1960 19 or 20" mower with a 6BHS briggs on it. seems to run good but really needs rings. i havent got the slightest clue who made my mower deck though. its in fairly decent shape needs some minor welding but its otherwise ok.
