  • thanks..

i've been putting off getting a new 30"apple cinema.

i hear alot of good and bad things. i don't wanna be the guy that gets one and than a couple months later they come out with a newer model. what do you think?

  • Can't be certain if they will release a gloss-only 30-inch. Answer really is, if you definitely want matte, why wait and risk them discontinuing the current model.

  • will the new display work on an older macbook pro?

  • You need an adapter, plus you lose some of the features of that funky cable built into the display.

  • thanks, i've been putting off getting a 30"apple cinema, too many negative comments. i also read here that matte shows natural color better than glossy screens,

what do you fgure? i know nothing

  • For a pro display, I would definitely go matte. If you are getting it for watching video, rather than creation, then gloss is OK.

  • i honestly don't see the point of the Macbook Air, it's just a bad computer in a small package, on the other hand the macbook pros are great

  • @EmilyBacon no you need snow leopard and a mini display port

  • getting the cinema display for christmas :)

  • try the HP w1907 or w2207

  • I have a Dell precision 6300 laptop and you can't put that screen more than 1280x800 resolution. I have been for many days looking everywhere, asking Dell without any solution. They say is a screen problem (LOL) :S
