This is when the Lakers had to work the hardest....when they played NBA teams from the East. The East was insanely deadly. Don't get me wrong the Lakers deserved every championship they got but the East in the 80's was insane. Think about it.....the Celtics, 76ers, Bucks, Pistons. The Eastern Conference play offs were where the real wars happened and then who ever won met a well rested Lakers in the West.
