Just when you thought Z scale was the king of the small, KK-Eshindo of Japan is producing trains in 1:440th scale!

This layout is 8 inches by 15 inches...

  • Unfortunately there's nothing in the video with which to gain a sense of scale. A finger, a coin, almost anything would be useful. I'm working in T gauge, and I can tell you, it's really, really small!

  • I didn't film it, but completely agree with you!

  • Most people say, my N-Scale is to small, but this...

  • We are going to do a T'Gauge Layout at the Coventry Model Railway Club

  • will go well with my 1:400 planes... except the buzzy sound...

  • Very very nice layout! I just started working in T Gauge and the equipment is absolutely amazing. I'm putting the layout on a Gauge 1 flatcar...

  • I'd hate to do a Steam engine in that scale! There could be NO connecting rods because they'd be hair thin!

  • woah, woah, woah, first of all, how do align it so runs smoothly on the tracks?

  • Who would want to or even be able to work with trains that small?! I could set up a layout in my chest cavity with that!! @.@

  • It just floors me people can model in such small scales,

I have seen on many layouts combined scales, like and N scale train of the same engines, cars as the HO, just farther back on layout to give distance to it.

Also seen N scale used on O scale for a kiddy train ride.

  • if this was in a ho oo gauge layout you could put ho oo scale people on them and have it as one of them ride on trains :)

  • Well, there are people who model airports in 1:400 and 1:500 scales, and a good portion of the work is actually pretty good. It works quite well, and personally, having owned one of these sets, I personally think I found the right scale for myself, combines model trains with small scale, not to mention that it will work ok with my diecast aircraft for the most part.
