@roburrel Hi there, I would first melt the fondant and then colour it. This way you will get the exact colour you want.

@nivia91 does this work with colored fondant as well. I bought some white ready to use fondant and I'm planning on coloring it hot pink. Once I'm done coloring do i just pop it in the microwave. I'm wondering if i add water to my colored fondant if it will fade the color any?

@gloriahei The fondant I used was marshmallow fondant. It may work with any fondant.

Is the jam necessary for the fondant to stick to cupcake, or just for flavor?

Does it taste like glazed cupcakes?? Can I do the same with melted chocolate?

@karenbee1996 It doesnt taste the same as glaze. The frosting doesnt go as hard as glaze.
Of course you can do it with melted chocolate!
