Australian born Singapore recording artist Shueh-li Ong specially arranged this take on Ella Fitzgerald's version of Summertime, to be played on theremin and string quartet at the Flipside series, an 'Esplanade Presents'. Accompanying her is Singaporean string quartet, Artsylum.
This event that took place over 4 days and 8 shows (7-10 June 2010) could arguably be the 1st theremin and string quartet performance in Singapore and at the Esplanade.
Shueh-li would like to thank the Esplanade for the invitation to perform at this Arts Festival program, and allowing her to chose her "band". Thanks to Tan Xinyu for assisting in videography.

Footnote : The Etherwave theremin is effected (+flange) through Mainstage2. Shueh-li used Westone IEMs in one ear.
Great to hear you perform, Shueh-li. Very nice arrangement.
