CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A downtown Cincinnati nightclub, charged with allowing nude or semi-nude dancing, will close for a year. City Solicitor John Curp tells Local 12 News that the city and the Diamond Palace have reached an out-of-court settlement to resolve a lawsuit by the city.Under that deal, the club will close. If the operators want to re-open, they will have to apply for a license which could possibly be denied. If the club is allowed to re-open, it would likely have to go in the only part of town zoned for sexually oriented businesses, an industrial area nowhere near Downtown.Under the agreement, criminal charges against two people associated with the club will be dropped.
