Mark Pollock broke his back in two places in July 2010. Eight months later he is doing an intense physical exercise program at Project Walk in California. The blind adventure athlete's spinal cord injury has left him with no feeling from his bellybutton down and no movement below his lower stomach. Determined to be fit and involved in sport, Mark is working his lower body. This clip shows Project Walk's trainers mimic walking on a treadmill while Simon O'Donnell, Mark's South Pole race team mate watches and learns. Simon will train Mark when they return to Dublin.
