I thought I'd add some variety to my channel by featuring a new & upcoming band or artist every now and then. Mostly these will be UK bands although I am now based in the US, so who knows. (I do my bit on the concert & festival circuit & so will keep an eye out.)
Anyhoo, this band has already gotten some good press, including being touted as best emerging act for 2009 by NME. The new single "Dominos" is the band's 4th single off & in advance of its debut album "A Brief History of Love," which is slated for release September 14, 2009.
But what really got me stoked about this track is that it got featured on BBC America's promo spots for "Skins,"one of the few truly compelling reasons left for turning on the telly these days.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I personally like this song. I heard it originally on a runway sound track.
You guys should be more open to music though because there is music that you may think that sucks when they first start getting big then grow to love as they become more popular and the band writes more songs.

Well said. As an example: an early song that had its fair share of criticism back in the day was "Love Me Do." And we all know what eventually happened there. Not saying that's gonna happen with this band, and definitely NOT comparing the two bands (because there's no comparison) - just making a point about music in general. Cheers & chill.
