July 1st: Haley & Starlight

This is me jumping July 1st obviously. It was kinda a last second thing I just randomly decided to jump. Please no comments on my riding. I have been through a lot of stuff [[diciplines/trainers/horses/barns]] and am trying to decide what dicipline I want to pursue. Even though it may not look like it here, I think I am going to go with hunters after this coming up show in July. This isnt my horse, it is my trainers 10 year old off the track thoroughbred mare named Starlight. This season though, I changed her show name to Swinging On A Star after a song by Bing Crosby. Enjoy! [[ps: the thing about the hunter? jumper? is kinda an inside thing, so if you dont get it dont worry]] [[also: before you even think I am a crappy rider, this is my 2nd time on this mare, she was kinda fresh, she doesnt switch her leads, she doesnt have a headset and I know I am very heavy on her mouth. Last time I rode this mare, I ended up on the ground over her head. So please dont even go there with my riding and this horse!]]

omg tell me about it!! XD if you watch one of my videos thats like "ALL YOUTUBE EQUESTRIANS...HELP" or sumthing...and go to about the middle, i was offered a horse for near free that was appraised at over 10k, but i couldnt take him cuz he was waaay tooo high maintinence for me...btw: where do you find out what zone you are in and shows you are elligable for, etc?

Ah okay I see. Yeah, I'm from oregon so it's different zones and everything. I hope you are able to get the right horse for you--it's really difficult to do. However, the economy is in the toilet and it's pretty easy to get a great horse at a lower price.

lol no problem, its all good between equestrians XD im from southern california and yeah ive leased a couple horses before and then they get sold by my trainer so im trying to re-lease this year for my sweet 16 bday present [[screw getting a car, i want a horse XD]] but my barn doesnt do any rated shows =/ i mean ive heard of the maclays and i trained where richards spooners daughters train, but dont get how all the showing coasts regions etc work =?

Well there are definitely barns that allow you to be leasing a horse. If you don't mind me asking, around where are you on the west coast?

lol thanks...haha shes not mine =,[ thats one of the huge reasons i cant find a good trainer to show with since i dont own a horse =[ so anywhere i could train without a horse is super duper expensive XD do you know how to like find out where the shows are around you that are rated? im trying to find west coast shows but dont get how to find shows =/

I'm sorry about that :(. Well I think that you could do hunters! The courses are pretty damn easy and your horse looks like she could make the strides.I can understand how it would be frustrating to not be able to go to the bigger shows. I hope that you are able to get a trainer!

oh okay...lol my brothers first name [[after my granparents last name]] is brock and ur name had vBROCKs17 in it...major dumb blonde add moment...lol thanks...yeah im trying but i dont think ill ever be good enough to hunters or find a hunter barn. i want to like get into bigger shows than schooling and scholastic shows, but cant find any trainers anywhere near me =[

Oh wow! That must be difficult to deal with! I saw one of your jumpers videos and I agree that you have really improved!! You should be quite proud. Yeah--a weird username I know. but my last name is von Bergen so vb is derived, hence the name vbrocks. lol.
