  • Great video! The Castlevania series is considered probably one of the best video game series despite the games being notoriously difficult. It took me about six hours to beat the first Caslevania for the NES/FDS. :)

  • Thanks again. Yeah, I love the series but sometimes there can be some cheap shots given which cause sudden death. I understand you feelings

  • another great castlevania..i have to get 1-3

  • Agreed. Btw, how's the vid making coming? Got another one you're planning on surprising me with? I've got a couple more uploading now but lets just hope that we don't upload the same one like batman lol.

  • yea i got some megadrive/genesis games probably going up today LOL maybe some other stuff cuz i havent put anything up in like 5 days so

  • lookin forward to it

  • This vid pretty well sums up what happened when I tried to play this game. Constant stupid falling deaths on the clock tower level, I never could get a handle on where you're allowed to stand in this place.

  • @wolfenstien9000

It wasn't just expensive. They moved the audio in pin to the expansion port on the American NES. They would have had to release a jumper pack to plug in to the expansion port bridge one of the pns from the cartridge with the pin on the expansion port. This is an added cost. I have an American NES moded with the Japanese audio routed to the expansion port. I made a video of it as well on my channel.

  • Gotta love the music... It's like candy to my ears :3

  • to that part when you dit twice fall of the stairs and say fuck sake, well that,s what i also hate, the point is the d pad button from those famicom controllers are so stifty that you need to push it in a absolute accurecy direction, that,s what i have mannytime when climing on a rope but then probabely fall of to the richt, this will never happen with a psx controller!!!!

  • Do you get a lot of games from Super Potato? How are the prices there?

  • the Japanese version of castlevania 3 has a VRC6 chip which adds two extra square channels and a sawtooth channel to the game. These chips cost alot which is why they were not implemented in the American version. the regular famicom and NES have only 5 channels, 2 squares, 1 triangle, 1 for samples, and one Noise channel. I hope this has been informative to all of you.

  • The famicom version of this game has a special sound chip on-board the cartridge that was left out of the US version. You'll also notice the sound is more dynamic because there's more sound channels

  • Ahh my favorite game in the NES series. I liked the helpers you could get in the game and of the ones I ended up with I liked Grant cos he could climb walls and ceilings and made life a lot easier for me.

The Wizard(I forget if its a male or female and its name) was cool too but just a little too weak for me.

Solid game and a solid video my man!

    Later dayz
