Top Spanish Mackerel rig and nice and easy, Probably prefer the bibbed rig, helps dive down deeper, if too fast with the keel bib, planes up. Troll slow about 2 - 4 knots, Depends how deep you want them to dive, if spanish mackerel or bait fish showing deep , even stop and let the baits sink then start trolling again, Wolf herring are deadly and if any spanish around they can't help themselves,

Very nice rig mate, definately worth a try. What speed do you troll your ribbonies at? As slow as possible?

Top effort, I don't get much chance to sportsfish now adays, but good fun, Spanish mackerel around the 8 - 10 kg mark are full on at the moment and was considering giving the lighter line a go,

They do look like your Tarpon, We have a tarpon in Australia, but unfortunately only grow to about 2 kilo's or 4 pound. they're a great sportsfish on lightline and jump as well. Wolf Herring make the best bait for Spanish (king) mackerel. Would love to catch one of your monster Tarpon one day,
