Two more US soldiers were killed in Afghanistan by an Afghan soldier; this comes after the shooting deaths of four American soldiers last week. A new poll shows that 81% of Israelis are against a unilateral strike on Iran. And members of Congress are attempting to change the language in the NDAA that allows for the indefinite detention of US citizens, but why did they pass the bill in the first place? Retired Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson discusses.

The Soviets were requested to invade in your mind. When you invade a country you move your military, you establish control over the airports, roads, you take control of the radio and TV stations and the you move out everyone that does not support you such as the UN and western bilaterals, NGOs and others. I had to leave in February of 1980 because the Afghans started their resistance to the Soviet INVASION

the Soviets were requested to intervene, invasion is a whole different ballgame. please do yourself a favor and buy a dictionary. And do a study of the social conditions in Afghanistan during the Soviet times, and then of after. that should dispel a lot of your misconceptions that you hold so dearly.

lol difficult to argue with such nuanced views. go and do some serious study and then talk.

Alyona, thank you for having Col. Wilkerson on your show. I wish other media outlets would interview him, but, we all know, that's not going to happen!
