Fridrik Karlsson on Guitars, Gulli Briem on drums, Jerome de Rijk on Percussion, Johann Asmundsson on Bass, Eythor Gunnarsson on Keyboards an Kristinn Svavarsson on soprano, alto and tenor saxes.
Casiopea and Mezzoforte were just two of many bands at the time playing music like this. Both awesome bands, they don't make them like this anymore. All (OK most) the really great jazz/funk/fusion (whatever you want to call it) bands around today are the ones that have been around for the last 20-30 years, these guys included.
@jestearns listen to 3:45 and other soli, and you know that this is not a Cassiopeia Cover band ;-) To be honest, i like Cassiopeia for some reason, but they always remind me to a "soundcard demo band" after a while.
@funkynette I respectfully disagree; sounds like you have a gripe. Casiopea had brilliant, original compositions (e.g. Space Road, Eyes of the Mind, Looking Up, and The Soundgraphy). In addition, they predated Mezzoforte. That being stated, I feel both groups are outstanding, but I favor Issei Noro as the best guitarist I've ever heard.
