@epicmonkey96 Even if they were why would they try solve the energy crisis by developing a nuclear based energy source from Dr Manhattans powers when they already have nuclear power plants? I'm pretty sure his powers were a result of being disintegrated by experiments they were doing on tampering with the the intrinsic fields of physical objects. If i destroyed a city with a large amount of C4 or TNT you wouldn't call them nukes, you could destroy cities with numerous explosives.

@fleppleman Weren't dr manhattans powers nuclear based? So, if weaponized it would be a nuclear weapon, and could be called a nuke. Can you think of a better name for a city-destroying explosive device?

@epicmonkey96 the movie wasn't nukes, it was explosive devices based on the powers of Dr Manhattan. What nuclear explosions have you seen where the explosions lifts everything of the ground in a blue haze and then disintegrates everything?
