Prices at a local McDonald's in Saipan

Here is the menu at the local McDonald's in Saipan on Beach Road in Garapan. Prices are sky high - and the owners of the 2 McDonald's on the island are very cheap - they will charge you .15 cents for a mayonaise packet (one !) and for a 6 piece McNugget they will give you only one sauce, additional sauce will set you back .50 cents !!! They also will not give you a free glass of water or ice. The burger I ordered had blue mold in it, and they didn't do anything or care about it. The assistant said, 'there's nothing I can do, its in the middle of it' she would not inspect the rest of their meat supply....I wouldn't trust their food. They nickel and dime everything here - also make note - the customer is always wrong (not right on this island).

The prices are in U.S. dollars. There are other islands out there without these prices. Additionally, I am posting this to let others who are considering Saipan as a place of residence, to be aware of these prices. McDonald's is a worldwide chain, and by seeing the prices for the same items, you can see what the cost of living can be. Also, this island has a hard time with BASIC supplies - KFC/Taco Bell ran out of chicken for 3 weeks, waiting for the ship to come in - no chicken for 1 month!

i lived in saipan for many years. the prices are us dollars its the only currency on the island since it is part of america. the prices are not bad considering the distance it takes to ship or plane in the goods to the island. but bobby Cadillacs still has the best pizza.

I notice that is 6 bucks for a "Big Mac value meal" which is probably close to U.S. prices. Questions: Are those U.S. sizes of fries and drink or pinoy sizes lol.... also is that include umlimited refills and free wifi? If so, that's not too bad.

Seriously, if you can't afford the prices, maybe the 670 isn't the best place for you. I was born and raised here and prices have been this way for so long. You'd just have to understan economics to understand why prices get this high on island.

I think that's in euros, so everything is 50% more. So that's about $10 for some of those combo meals.
