Even as a 1970's kid I knew I had a reason to really hate this damn robot. Hard to believe we didn't even notice the change in quality of animation. Well, I'm glad I finally got to see the original Gatchaman series in its entirety subtitles & all. Never again will I watch an anime with US dubbing as even the voiceover work is terrible. DIE 7-ZARK-7!!!!

As a child I wasn't sure what was going on when the characters seemed to have different names, but were still the same in so many ways with subtle differences! It was really kind of confusting and disturbing because I wasn't sure if I was imagining stuff that wasn't there anymore but that I remembered (like 7 zark 7 and Keyop's chirping). I didn't know anything about stuff being edited or remade at that age, so it kinda fucked with my head. Good to know I wasn't cracking up....
