April 6, 2008: Around 2 PM it looked like Scout was preparing to lay a second egg. Her labor was very long. She finally laid her egg at 7:12 PM. Exhausted, she spent about ten minutes standing over the egg before she settled down to incubate it. Orville was away from the nestbox, so there were no vocal celebrations. It is hoped he will be back at dawn to bring her something to eat.

  • this your bird?

  • No, this is a wild bird in Columbus, Ohio. There is a nest cam and ledge cam. I simply watch and record what the cam shows. You can, too!

  • Have you posted a video of a "vocal celebration"? I'd like to see.

  • I didn't hear the vocalization - but that doesn't mean Orville and Scout didn't celebrate :)

  • Sorry but what kind of bird is that?

    Sorry, if im bothering you.

  • This is a Peregrine Falcon :)
