  • To what type of autonomy are you referring? Spending? Hiring? Curriculum? Scheduling? In my school district, we allowed for that type of autonomy for many years, but now the pendulum is swinging in the other direction. Too much autonomy led to mini-school districts within a large school district. With the high transiency rate of our students, this just doesn't work. Students were done a real disservice when transferring between schools with different schedules and curriculum.
