well, hindsight is 20/20, and the economic perspective shifted the debate in the end. The huge rate increases in health insurance brought the democrats together, convincing all rational people that there was a clear market failure. While, the politics of debating ideologies brought the process to a near halt.

For the years 2003 and 2004, just over 50 percent of all personal bankruptcies were the result of medical debt by those with health insurance. Single payer universal is the only solution. This Single payer universal healthcare will never work in a republic that values profits over people.

We want public options for healthcare reform. Money should not be a factor of our health. Don't try to make it a psychology as a permanent naive for the temporary healthy and a dream for the would be rich. Double is the cost, not income. If we don't build a public system we control, the current trend is you may have to quit your job to qualify for care as the growing majority unqualified ppoulation.
