  • Lynne Twist's work is my inspiration. I take it with me to all of my stewardship trainings and major donor workshops. Most of all, I have learned that our values inform our spending, not vice verse. If you're not happy, think about your values and look at what you buy. If they're not in alignment, you know where to start.

  • @asrato143 thanks. and sorry it took so long to get back to you. the thing is, i don't remember a thing she said, so i guess it didn't "take" with me, thanks again.

  • This woman is so spot on. If people would only get out of their own heads just for a moment, they might truly see what she is trying to teach them. She deliberately repeats things multiple times not because of thinking people are stupid, but that's how we learn. None of us went through school & had something told to us only once that we learned immediately. @asrato143 you are so right. On average it takes seeing something 7-12 times before a person really gets it?

  • @uemciicmeu She repeats things multiple times because if you hear something 3 or more times, it becomes cemented in ur mind...scientific fact. She's trying to leave an impression in your mind.

  • Lynne, thank you for speaking up and speaking out for so many of us. Many of us connect deeply with what you teach. Indeed the moment is now and the place is here. Time to awaken the whole world and universe. We can make a huge difference. Time to create massive actions for a better world.

  • that's nice...be satisfied with what you have...never look towards people who are more privileged than you, but look towards those who have less than you..

  • I think I'd be remiss if I didn't question why a woman who talks about the evils of excess, ends up repeating everything three times. At least. Is this a rhetorical device, or does she think that by repeating everything, it'll make us stupid people understand her better? I've never met the woman, but I'd like to be a fly on the wall of her accountant's office.

  • im put off by the continual use of the word 'they' when referring to what she 'used to call poor'. Where you ever 'what you called "Poor", Ms Twist?. don't think so.
