Anyway I am SO excited to have made a TDW video. Ive been pining too since it was first broadcast and I only just found the DVD so here it is! Massive thank you to all the ladies and gents on FP for song help! I shall use them in my next video promise!

Anyway this is SUCH a gorgeous song, I found it whilst rewatching Cold Mountain and fell in love with it. Ive been trying to vid it for about a year with all manner of fandoms but with no success until I realised hey! Lets put it with TDW and see what happens! It worked! It was originally all in colour but about half way through I just decided it looked so much more poignant in BW so I stuck with it the whole way through. Oh and HIGH FIVE for not cutting down the song!

I realise this is a veeeeeeery slow song but I decided to liven it up with fast transitions and *winces* effects. Last arty video for a while, PROMISE! I know this isnt a very well known fandom but its gorgeous nonetheless and needs more vids! This is just a tribute to all the characters (save for Cromwell because he was a twat and Charles because I forgot about him...) There are quite a few glitches and Im not entirely happy but some parts I love...so I decided to stick it up anyway. Enjoy.

I haven't seen this vid before! Haven't seen the show either. This is about our civil war? I heard so many good things about it but I never got the chance to watch it.

You're vidding is beautiful, as usual, and I'm loving the general cinematography of the thing. AND I love this song, absolutely adore and worship this song. I was trying to do it Henry/Anne but it fell apart.

I haven`t seen TDW but I adore this song and even though I didn`t know what was going on - it just felt sad and beautiful! Gorgeous work Alison and those dark colours bring out the emotion even better!

I loved the Devils Whore and this video, you made it even better by using the song from one of my fave movies, My Ain True Love from Cold Mountain, which is another great film.

TDW is about the English Civil War ( absolutely brilliant, btw :)!!). The song was written by Sting and sung by himself and Alison Krauss. It was written and performed for Cold Mountain, a film about the American Civil War...

Absolutely stunning! I'm astounded how a song written for one film is sooo very appropriate to depict two different civil wars more than 200 years apart! Not enough accolades for TDW, and for those who haven't seen it, do so! Cold Mountain was moving as both a book and film as well. Thank you ever so much summersparkle2
