  • Thank you for posting! so moving, makes you want to get up & do something great: if he could overcome his condition, so can you. And, of course, Ken Branagh is such a complete actor, you believe he IS FDR. Genuine and true performance!

  • While he was walking, I suffered; during ovations I was glad.

FDR has such a terrible and wonderful life!

KB's performance has a strenght that hurts me.

    Once more, thank you Tediousoldfools!

  • Great film about a great American leader.

  • Just got back from Warm Springs this weekend. I had seen this movie before I went there. It made the trip that much more special. I highly recommend all who can, go see Warm Springs. Its a very cute town,in one way it seems that Roosevelt never left.

  • One of my good friends is in this movie. Her name's Georgia. She played Roosevelt's daughter. I remember when I first met her in 9th grade when I moved to Warm Springs, I couldn't get over the fact that she was in this movie! But she's a very real person. Now, I actually live 5 miles away from Warm Springs, in Manchester, GA.

  • I adore this miniseries. Yes, so true that Kenneth Branagh became FDR. I am about due to watch this again. He's so human, connecting with the people like himself. I loved when he nursed the boy in the box car. I have a disability and can relate to this film entirely. A very touching performance. He should have won the Emmy for this film.

  • brilliant.
