Thanks for the comments guys. Jacob7ism it's running Tiger. You can't run Lion on a eMac. Only Leopard or Snow Leopard.

tiger will run so much better with more ram. get it to 1 gig and that little g4 will fly.

Yay for emacs! I love these computers. I had a G3, which befell an accident and was rendered a doorstop-I almost cried. I replaced it with a G4 that I got for $24. It is great for games, documents, and Internet surfing. I use a Wacom tablet for graphics in Photoshop and Gimp too. Compared to what they make today, the emacs are not that fast, but they are still very useful and cheap if you can find them.

I like my eMac too :D I got a

1.42Ghz G4

1GB RAM

DVD Superdrive

and in the next few days a new 250gb hard drive

this is apart of my collection of 9 macs, my emac & macbook pro being my favourite mac design apart from the G4 cube
