Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason recently visited New York City to promote the band's Pulse DVD, but he also highlighted his literary work. His book Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd, documents every aspect of the band. Mason should know. He's the longest standing member, having spent nearly 40 years in Pink Floyd.

  • Oh, and as for the girl, it could be Emily :)

  • I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that they were hinting that the connection between Dark Side and Oz was intentional. I think the bike and the red 'slippers' were referencing some old Floyd songs. The pyramids on the Pulse cover are representing Dark Side, the beach representing A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, the planet overlapping the pupil represents Eclipse, and the plane represents The Wall. I think they were simply representing the song Bike. That's my opinion.

  • But if you must plough, use a copper plough cause iron isn't good for the soil, and pull it yourself or get animal to help you, symbiotically.

This has been an announcement on behalf of the Legend of Elton Chong Tao Society.

  • People of Earth - Get Back To Your Ploughs.

Figuratively speaking of course cause what you really want is non-ploughed forest gardens and that kind of thing.

  • @gosurfinginstead4 Wow, I have to say this is shocking. Mason mentioning 'the yellow brick road' is so revealing. It makes me sad to realize that my youth idols were in fact heavily programmed mind-controlled slaves. Check the end of the of Pulse DVD and you'll see the stage turn into a big all-seeing-eye. The cover of Dark Side of the Moon is another dead giveaway about their illuminati background (pyramid cut at the top by light and the resulting rainbow.

  • Mason is a decent bloke but a very dull drummer - he got lucky.

  • One of my top two favorite bands -- one of my top three favorite drummers! Brilliantly talented -- laid back but hard hitting! I could listen to Time all day!

Nick described Pink Floyd as, "Not as badly behaved as some of the others." One could retort, "That we know about!" -- if it wasn't likely 100% true ;o)

  • Yeah & so fucking what ! And your point is what ?

  • Now that i reed your comment, i'm picking up... Holy shit! That's true, i never expected REALLY that was true, i've always thought about this as a myth created by fans, but now...makes me wonder.......

  • DID YOU HEAR THAT SUBTLE REFERENCE?!?

"LIKE THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD OF LIFE"

HELLO!, ANYONE?....Dark Side of the Moon+Wizard Of OZ I TRUE!!!!

On the cover of Pulse, you can make out Dorothy's bicycle as well as a girl who is obscured but you can definitely see her red slippers.

Holy shit I can't believe no one else picked up on this.
