No. It's a scaled image of Earth shooped onto a photo of the Sun. Mercury isn't that close or that big. You wouldn't believe how big the Sun is.

@KobeBryantLakers08 - Hey dude this video is about the size of the flare in relation to the size of the Earth. That's why it says approx. size of earth, not approx. distance.... This clip portrays the eruption to extend from the sun several Earth lengths from its surface. We are not that close. Our sun is huge but we're super far from it.
