I bought this from a family in Reading, PA about 12 days ago and brought it home to West Virginia.
I only recapped the amplifier and crossover and decided to try the phono. Amazingly the turntable turns at the right speed and the cartridge has good output on both channels. There is a little rumble so a new idler will be needed.
I have not touched the receiver or the preamp yet.
The radio has low volume but the phono will drive you out of the house.
This is the first solid state I am restoring and I am already impressed with the sound from those Germanium transistors.
I have one of these, but don't know what stylus to order, it's not listed. mine is missing.
any help on the needle type?

@cbryantcrawford If you pop the cartridge outyou may find some numbers on it. Mine said EV-132 which means Electrovoice cartridge 132. Magnavox may have used other cartridges in 1963 but this was the most common I beleive.
If you go to Ebay and enter the cartridge number, replacement needles will show.
For the EV 132 any of the following will work:
E-V 2619
Magnavox 560306 or 560306-02
Good luck!

You will never be disappointed with that, it's an excellent buy!! Looks like another Magnavox next to it too!

@64098 Thanks, I am very happy with it. I am trying to recap the radio section now and it's a challenge to get at a couple of the circuit boards,
Yes, that is a 1957 Magnavox next to it. It is a phono only and has the 10 Watt mono tube amp in it. It also sounds great. I also have a 1956 Magnavox with the super 25 watt tube amp, 15" , 12" and two horn speakers. I will have to make a video of it and post it here.
