@DROPSHOTNOOB Hello, you should definitely go with a wide snowboard with 12.5 boots. You might also want to look into lower profile boots such as Burton boots with Shrinkage tech. Low profile boots reduce the footprint of the boot. Look for a snowboard with at least a 26cm waist.

Would you recommend a wide board for me? i am 6'1 140lbs and shoe size 12.5

yo, i have an opportunity to buy a wide board that is at really good price, i only have 10.5 size boots and weigh about 180 lbs, are there any advantages to riding a wide board other than foot size (e.g. better float on pow)? I want to be frugal but also don't want to look like an idiot. Thoughts? Thanks!

@Betula686 It really depends on the size of the board's waist. If it's more than 25.7cm, the board wil likely be too wide for you. It's going to handle sluggishly from edge to edge. The only benefit will be stability and float. It's going to be hard to control if it's too wide though.

I am 75 kilos and i am 185 cm tall can i buy an 166WIDE snowboard?

@magnushenden You only need a wide board if you have a boot size greater than 11.5US. Otherwise, stick with a normal width.

hey i am 5'10 150 lbs and size 11 shiuld i use a wide board?

@MrWes3D No, you should be fine on a normal board as you are in the range of a 156cm board. Especially if you have a newer pair of boots. Many boots these days are low profile so one doesn't really need a wide board unless they are 12+.
