Youll have about 128 seconds if you delete every single sound on it.128 seconds if more than enough to play around with..

The preset sounds on the ESX take up about 75 of the Ram if im not mistaken!

yeah, but you gotta put your mind to it!

after about a month or two,i erased absolutly everything on my esx.
started out fresh with all my own samples, some stock drum sounds on the ESX are actually pretty dope, some Amen breaks/chops in there,so thats always dope,i guess.Sold my esx to buy the MPC 2500 in the end.

no word.. congratulations! I have completely erased the memory of my ESX, even if is difficult obtain soon good results starting from zero. I think that this vid shows exactly what I mean for "performing with ESX", i wish to become as able as you!

Theres nothing wrong with erasing a lot of stuff the ESX comes with. I erased a shit load of presets, and samples it came with. The more memory for your own creations, the better! I did it! Have fun!

is the sampled loop sampled from the ESX itself or uploaded? do you definitely need a smartmedia card or do you think the preset sounds are all you'll really need for most songs?

Yes the sample is a preset from the ESX. You dont need a SM card, but I would definitely recommend one just to put more of your own samples. The ESX samples are kinda sucky, ill admit, but it helps a lot to tweek em up!
