This is a documentary about the conflict played on american televison fought between Edward R. Murrow and Joseph McCarthy. It won second place for our school's competition =D
And here we are,A Corporate run Government.Bought and paid for.We the People have been a sleep for way too long while the put all there people in place. There is 60 % corruption in America against the people. Are we waiting for the other 40% before We the People stand up?
@seaspan, if you like Canada so much, feel free to move there. You should also know that under classical Marxism, socialism is defined as a TRANSITIONAL phase between "capitalism" and communism.
I see that someone else already mentioned the Venona papers, which do vindicate McCarthy. I should also mention that McCarthy knew about the Venona Project during his investigation, but he couldn't cite it for reasons of national security, even though it would have helped his cause.
Ironically, hon, you quote Hitler without realizing that it is you who have fallen victim to the big lie. McCarthy was right about communist infiltration in the US government. That's not to say that he always identified the culprits, but he didn't manufacture the threat out of thin air.
I suggest that you be a bit more skeptical about what your liberal teachers tell you and do a little research.
there were German historians such as Jürgen Habermas accusing other German historians such as Ernst Nolte of trying to "normalize" the Nazi regime by playing up its moral equivalence to Stalinist Russia, by suggesting even that Hitler's murderous methods were a response to Stalinist terror and genocide, which some saw as an attempt to "excuse" Hitler. SLATE
Perhaps we've failed to assimilate what we've learned about Stalin, Soviet communism, and Mao's communism (50 million may have died in the Great Leap Forward famine and the Cultural Revolution's murders) because for some time the simmering argument had a kind of disreputable side. In the mid-'80s SLATE
These horrors, Nazi and Communist, all arose out of European ideas, political and philosophical, being put into practice. Even the Cambodian genocide had its genesis in the cafes of Paris where Pol Pot got his ideas. Hitler got his ideas in the cafes of Vienna. SLATE

@NeilLewis77, you really are dumb. And it's probably wouldn't even do any good to try to educate you.
