1) TRUMAN ON SHIP CROSSES ENGLISH CHANNEL TO POTSDAM CONFERENCE - "As the sleek U.S. cruiser 'Augusta' speeds along the Atlantic, President Truman holds final preparatory conferences with Sec. of State Byrnes and Admiral Leahy. For relaxation, the President enjoys his 'constitutionals' on ship deck, then is seen heartily enjoying mess with the crew."

  • Thanks

  • wow, that's awesome man.

  • I try to imagine myself in my parents' place, watching newsreels like this and wondering what will happen and how the war will turn out. This one's post-VE Day, but hundreds rolled out the war from '39 to '45 in a time before TV or internet...it's hard to imagine what it was like. Thanks for posting.

  • Holy crap, that's a boom!

  • that ship blew up! WHOA!
