  • DriveWRX, Sweet low-level flying! What's your impression of this 450 sized heli? Being an intermediate pilot, I'm torn between getting a stable CY Rave 450 or the Mini Protos; most of my CP experience coming from 3-axis equiped Walkera 100-200 size models. Thanks for posting your vid.

I'm really impressed with the Mini Protos. It's in the top 3 helis to fly in my hangar. The other two are the stretch Protos and the Logo 600 on 623mm mains.

The Rave is a very good heli. You can't go wrong with either. Both can be setup for 3S or 4S power and both can run 350mm main blades. The bigger blades do make a huge difference in stability. But in terms of money, MiniP is the better deal. MiniP kit w/ Scorpion motor, YGE ESC and blades: 415. Rave kit airframe only: 400

  • Don't get a Rave.

    I sold mine for a Mini-Protos.

Tail gears and TT have known issues.

  • If, in a few years, I can be half as good as you then I'll be happy :)
