Christian Colleges that Promote Contemplative (New Age) Prayer
http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/Colleges.htm

Born in 1926, Dave enjoyed the advantages of a godly upbringing, and placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord in his early teens.

He received a degree in mathematics from U.C.L.A. Marriage to his wife, Ruth, was followed by the birth of four children, a career as CPA/management consultant and, later, the management of several corporations. Along with church-related activities, Dave initiated and became involved in numerous campus ministries and meetings in his home, with a special outreach to Jewish young people and foreign students.

Since 1973 Dave's desire for fulltime ministry has found fulfillment through authorship of books dealing with the incursion, into Western culture and the church itself, of Eastern, psychological and selfist philosophies, ecumenism, and other unbiblical teachings. Concern over Islamic politics and religion are reflected in current articles, lectures and interviews. The Berean Call

  • Apostasia................... "Oh, that Christ would be enough", Pray Christ comes back soon, lest none would be saved.

  • I am hindu and according to our teachings, God and Demons are within our heart and we have to recognize to whom we need to praise

Characters of Demon: hate, lier, blammer, hypocrit, selfish, arrogant, abuser, wrongdoer, anger, frustration, dishonest, spread false rumors, make enemies

Characters of God: Love others, serving others without expectations like Jesus, give respect, pray for others, honest, welcome good things, find happiness within, make good friends

  • @john146only From wikipedia: Some have noted a difference between the terms "emerging" and "Emergent." While emerging is a wider, informal, church-based, global movement, Emergent refers to an official organization, the Emergent Village, associated with Brian McLaren, and has also been called the "Emergent stream."

There are emerging Catholics, emerging Protestants, emerging Evangelicals, emerging Methodists, etc etc. These people do not have the same theology.

  • @john146only emerging, but not Emergent. I understand what you are talking about, I just disagree with you. I would also suggest that your understanding of the emerging church is fundamentally flawed. There are lots of emerging Christians who feel like yoga is an unhealthy practice, I am just not one of them.

  • @john146only Okee doke. Feel free to not practice yoga.

  • @john146only No I am not kidding. Answer my question about Christmas and Easter. Holidays that originated by worshiping gods other than YHWH. You are applying your logic differently depending on the context.

  • @BereanBeacon1 Being a disciple of Jesus. Most modern Christians have added a whole lot on top of that, I don't consider those things Christianity.

A couple of questions from me.

    1. Can Yoga be secular?

    2. Christmas and Easter are obviously co-opted from non Christian traditions. Does this make them demonic?

    3. The entire modern structure of Sunday worship has no scriptural parallel, some of the aspects of it resemble pagan traditions, does this make it demonic?

  • @jcallina What is your definition of Christianity?

  • So you folks are saying that every thing you do that originated with a religion other than Christianity is demonic? You may want to take take a hard look at some of your other traditions. Yoga can be secular. This is an immature view of Christianity.

  • hold on, he is talking about a spirit dwelling in a body ? Is this actually gnosticism in Christian form ? The bible says that God breathed into the Man in Genesis 2, and he became a living being or Nephesh a God breathed spirit infused body. The OT view of man is that he is a unity, not a duality ! That is why Jewish and Christian scriptures talk about resurrection of the body !
