@squeapler yeah I remember reading it when I was in elementary school, its a lot more graphic and detailed than the movie.

this was good. how old is this show ? looks like 8Os or early 9Os.

I just looked up the book it was based on and it looks like the book was published in 1979 which makes a lot more sense. This is a very 70s movie, although some of the attitudes were unfortunately still around in the 80s.

I thought the mom was going to come out with some story about how she'd been raped as a teenager and never reported, or something like that. Pretty good realistic movie although everybody in it looks very old-fashioned for 1983.
