  • The way I often work, it's pretty much one experiment after another, and would probably frustrate most people! I have thought about uploading some, but life gets in the way LOL! I have been told I work on the most tedious stuff that others would find difficult. To me it's like therapy, the more challenge involved, the more I love it, and I do all my own designs and techniques. Needless to say I am very thankful to have two hands!

I'll check you channel to see if you have any posted.

  • You should make some videos of doing that stuff I think its facinating!

  • I've put them in tops of hats, in bags, in the midriff of a blingy dress, etc. etc. I've also used them to make mobiles, plaques, and to paste photos on and then add artwork around them. I've crocheted with curling ribbon, thin copper wire that I remove from old speaker coils, etc. etc. I'm a crocheting machine!!

  • Oh wow Cd's where do you use them in a garment im dying to know!

  • Yes, I've used video tape many times, but it's much harder to work with. But nothing stops me LOL! I have even put used CDs/DVDs into garments etc.

Born To Crochet -- One Stitch At A Time! (BTW) I was using that slogan before Simply Soft yarn started using it recently on their ECO yarn.

  • Old cassette tape? I never thought of that...you could use VHS taps as well...Hmmm you gave me an idea!

  • Go for it! I've used all kinds of stuff, always thought I could use bags too. Just never took the time, I'm fer shure going to now!

  • Bless you protector of the Earth! I love it, have you seen the video of women in Gambia crocheting with these? I crochet with old cassette tapes and tons of other recycled or unusual materials. Thank you!!

  • Thanks!

I knit a bag out of plastic bags, but cut each one in a spiral which took a LONG time! This is much quicker.

  • I've been meaning to crochet with all my plastic bags.
