Bye bye, Silent Cal. I love one story about him (probably too good to be true). As Coolidge was about to board a train, a reporter with one of the brand new remote microphones approached him. "You're the first President to speak on radio," the reporter said. "What would you like to say to the American people?" "Good bye," Coolidge answered, and climbed onto the train.

Palin is not the 1st female VP candidate, it was in 1984 Geraldine Ferraro she ran with Walter Mondale.

Who's the dish standing next to Coolidge in a cap and gown?
-
if the stock market hadnt crashed and the economy remained booming in 1928, the democratic party probably wouldve disappeared forever.
-
Coolidge should have run again.

Why do you say that Coolidge and (especially) Harding should be better appreciated than Hoover?
Still, there's no question that the three inter-war Presidents were special, and represented a long-dead form of the Republican party.

Historians generally give Hoover higher marks than Harding and Coolidge, which I think is a mistake; that being said, Hoover was better than most of those sorry tyrants or bumblers who came after him, excepting Eisenhower and Reagan.

Nice video. What the song called? It certainly plays on Smith's view on prohibition.

Awesome video. Love seeing Hoover.
Hoover is terribly under-appreciated. He was a kind and peaceful man, America's last peace President.
Putting aside the economics, we need a Hoover today.
Hey man, could you tell me the song(s) you used in this video?

Very nice video. Who is it and what's that song at 1:25? Very cute and nice harmonica solo.
It's weird to think women only got the right to vote in 1920 and now we have first female VP candidate in 2008. Not sure that's very swift progress, especially considering who the candidate is.
