I'm just realizing this now, and I could be completely off base on this, but its interesting to see Dave's standup before, during, and after the Chappelle's show. Before the Chappelle's show (e.g. Killing them softly), he was very hilarious and seemingly light-hearted. During the Chappelle's show, which is now, he seemed to be in a very dark/angry mood throughout the entire set. Every joke he made had a hidden point. Since the show, it seems like he is tired of the world, and it shows.

hey its just his opinion, everyone sees things differently. we could argue that he was in a darker time when doing chapelle show because of corporate pressure and all. but it doesnt change the fact that he is one funny man.

He is not dark or angry. People want to label a black man as angry or dark simply because he tells the truth as he see's it... He very cleverly lased in reality in his comedy. That makes for a great comedian in my opinion. If you think this was dark and angry it shows how very little you know about the world. I found this show to be very hilarious and light hearted.
