@PirkkoGauntley "Modern Christianity lacks much of the imagery that the early church possessed." What in the world are you talking about? I honestly have no idea what that means. The early church didn't need to imagine Christ - they knew him personally, and, oh yes, he was a MAN.

How refreshing to think of God as Mother. This is not unbiblical at all - God is so awesome that we must use metaphors to understand God. So we talk of God as child (Christmas), brother (Jesus), father, friend -- why not loving mother as well?
