Dark Cloud -010- Boss 1: Divine Beast, Dran

Once you've fixed Nolun Village, you can find a key in Dran's Windmill that allows you to open the boss door. Dran is under possession by the Dark Genie and tries to kill you, so that makes Dran the first boss.

All you need to do is shoot him with Xiao when he's flying, then switch to Toan and hit him (I recommend holding X). Not too hard actually.
