Where was Nike in the 80s? They never had a "skate" shoe then. Nike only wants in on skating now because it makes money. DUH!!! Plus those are ugly. Black and white shoes for me please. Kids are stupid!

regardless of what the shoe is made for, it's still just a shoe.
Chuck Taylors were basketball shoes but i dare someone to play in them now. You'll break your ankles. A lot of hypebeasts do rock SBs though and i see where he's coming from but if someone pays for something they can do what they want in it. I don't see everyone playing basketball in Jordans, or using other shoes for their original purpose. I ball in most of my Js however.

I rock SBs because I like the simple yet sleek and stylish look they have, especially the high top Venoms and Fossils, but most importantly, they're really comfortable, however I don't skate. Am I a hypebeast for wearing something I genuinely like to wear and not just because it's cool?
