Open to the short-lived, second attempt at a Ron Stone-hosted program (other than The Eyes of Texas) during the early 90's. It aired at 11:30 AM, as a lead-in to the noon newscast.
The original, "Afternoon with Ron Stone", was retooled into this one earlier that year after its timeslot was switched several times.
I remember back in 1992, Roy Clark was a guest on his show when he did the musical "Paint Your Wagon".
I was one of the fortunate callers who got to chat with Roy, praising his musical talent telling him I took up the guitar thanks to him. Even nicknamed him the country version of New Kids On The Block.
I opened & closed the call in with "Thank God & Greyhound", the conversation lasted around 45 seconds. It was a thrill talking to Roy Clark on Ron Stone's show that day.
