Severus is writing to his lover, Sirius, probably from Hogwarts whilst Sirius is still on the run, or still stuck in Grimwalds Place. He's telling him how they should be a real couple, because I guess up to this point they were just really loyal fuck-buddies. The audio pretty much explains it all.
