I don't believe Portia is really gay. I think she loves Ellen, but in a different way. Portia has a troubled past. She had a rough relationship with her ex-husband. And Ellen is supportive, funny, and loves Portia. Ellen is gay, but I think Portia tricks herself into thinking she's gay because of how well Ellen treats her. She has a way of making Portia feel loved. Which is kind of a mind-game for someone like Portia. I think she's attracted to Ellen, but not in the way Ellen is attracted to her
