Rana Hussenini, You are sooooo correct and applaud you for speaking out to educate all of the world, particularly young girls and women. I have lived in countries in the MiddleEast.. I can tell everyone I have witnessed the strange and primitive culture that allows women to be killed, treated like dogs. I could have been killed myself but a kind Dr. helped me to return home to civilization....even if we too have faults...I'll never accept such backward ppl in my life again.

This is retarded..this "honor" crap that these backward and primitive cultures practice.
They have no honor as long as their cultural practices such as sacrificing women and animals remain intact. They cut camels legs off, let them bleed to weakness. They camels fall. They cut their throat and smear the blood all over them. They think they are blessed by doing this. RETARDED and BACKWARDS. If they did not have oil, they would just be natives living in he dust.

Jordan does not have oil

Jordan has over 6 million inhabitants and honor killings do not exceed 20 cases a year and so those behaviors are being faught against fiercely and hardly by the community. Statistics always put facts in perspective. 7out of 10000 are killed in US annually, honor killing in Jordan is 20 cases to 6 million a year, that is 210 times higher rate in US!! speaking of retards, backwardness and savages, USA paves the way. the misinterpreatation of christianity led to the spanish inquisition...5 million women killed in the name of God. the misinterpreatation of the Quran now leads to the barbaric legalized murders of yet again innocent women. just as governments in the past used religion to defend atrocoties being committed...muslim governments today are doing the same. christianity bares the blame for the spanish inquisition...just as Islam will be blamed for HONOR KILLINGS

mmm i agree but the spanish inquisition killed around 3,000 people over 350 years. the crusades were much more horrific, estimates being at around 9 million killed.

i had the pleasure of speaking with Rana when i was in Jordan in 2004 and i commend her for the work she is doing with this issue.
i think there should be more of an explanation of the honour and shame mindset. i speak about this and include this as i believe it is vital to understand the mindset behind this issue as much as it is to understand the issue itself - in order to bring about change from within the community.
